Washington Snow Shocks Capital
It’s been 100 years since weather in Washington, D.C. has been this bad. The latest cold front is expected to dump 30 inches of snow on the nation’s capital.
“Heavy snow will develop to produce near-blizzard and extremely dangerous winter weather conditions tonight through Saturday morning,” the US National Weather Service said.
Not only that, but it’s not even the first time Washington has been with huge snow this winter. They have over 30 inches less than two months ago.
The severe weather has even caused federal offices to close, as well as local schools. Virginia, Maryland and Washington, DC have all announced ‘snow emergencies,’ warning citizens to take extra care due to the inclement weather.
Many reports from Washington say people there have emptied grocery stores as they ‘stocked up’ on vital supplies.
